Commercial Acopian BirdSavers Sq. Ft. cost...

Sometimes people request pricing for Acopian BirdSavers based on cost per square foot of glass. Acopian BirdSavers is not a film that is applied to glass and because of this, the installation of BirdSavers is completely different than installing a film. It is much easier to install BirdSavers than to install a film, but it is impossible to get a standard cost per square foot for BirdSavers. The cost per square foot can be as low as 47 cents per square foot for a typical commercial building, but it can be higher than that for small windows on the same commercial building. Please see the four examples below which will illustrate these differences.

After the BirdSavers are made, at costs as described in the following four examples, the BirdSavers need to be installed. Another advantage of Acopian BirdSavers over window film is that BirdSavers are much more convenient and quicker to install, making installation costs far less than installing a film.

Here are two videos of Commercial installations of Acopian BirdSavers: Video 1  Video 2

Here is a video of a Residential installation of Acopian BirdSavers.

Example 1:

Please see the photo “Example 1” of a building that is a candidate for Commercial BirdSavers. Outlined in green is where one BirdSavers should be installed. This BirdSavers is for a glass panel with a Width of 8 feet and a Height of 64 feet.

For that one BirdSavers outlined in green in Example 1, the area to be covered is 8’ wide x 64’ tall (= 512 sq ft). If you enter those Width and Height numbers into the Commercial BirdSavers order page on the BirdSavers website, you get a cost of $298.00 for a 64' high, 8’ wide(22-cord) BirdSavers. That calculates to 58 cents per square foot for that one BirdSavers.

Example 1 summary:
22-cord Commercial BirdSavers, 64’ tall
8’ wide x 64’ high = 512 sq ft
$298.00
$58 cents per sq ft
[Standard Residential All Paracord BirdSavers SHOULD NOT be used for a BirdSavers this large.]

(In the photo below, there are nine panels similar to the panel with the BirdSavers on it. So the side of the building shown in the photo would need nine BirdSavers; one BirdSavers for each 8’ wide by 64’ high panel.)
